Minutes of Council meetings- list.:27TH JUNE 2008MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF COMMITTEE OF COBH TOWN COUNCIL HELD AT CARRIG HOUSE, COBH ON FRIDAY 27TH JUNE 2008. PRESIDING - Cllr. J. Mulvihill PRESENT - Cllrs. D. Crowley, P.Histon, P. Whitty OFFICIALS PRESENT Mr. Michael O’Sullivan A/Town Clerk 1. To consider the following resolution “That the Council meeting of Monday July 14th be deferred owing to the absence of the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor”. Cllr. P. Whitty proposed that the monthly Council meeting be deferred until Monday 21st July and this was seconded by Cllr. P. Histon. 2. Any Other Business a. Irish Ispat (former Irish Steel) site It was agreed on the proposal of Cllr J. Mulvihill and seconded by Cllr. Crowley that the Council should seek an urgent meeting with the Minister for the Environment and Local Government John Gormley. b. An Bord Pleanála decision re the Port of Cork application. Members agreed to the following “The Council noted the decision by An Bord Pleanála to refuse planning permission and welcomes the outcome of the Appeal process and looks forward to continuing good relations with the Port of Cork into the future”.
